As part of the Precious Metals Workshop Spring open night, This is Ian is opening his Workshop doors, celebrating the launch of his first collection of work as an ethical goldsmith.

This 1st collection - Symbols of Love - was officially launched on the 29th February 2020. Fittingly the day that in times gone by was when a women was supposed to propose to a man. How times have changed, how far we have come in all aspects of love, proposals, marriage, civil partnerships and full inclusion of all relationships in not just the eyes of the law, but in the heart and soul of all mankind.

Symbols of Love is about the rings made, given and worn by those committing and pledging their love to one and other. From traditional engagement rings and wedding bands to contemporary pledge and commitment bands, this collection of work not only covers every facet of what you need, but Ian will work with you to help create those unique and special symbols of your love that you will wear forever.

Ian only works with responsibly sourced gold, ensuring that here is love in these metals from every part of the supply chain. Standard gold will not do this, but it actively contributes to many well documented forms of exploitation, not something that you want to represent the love you hold for each other.
